Amazon MGM Studios enlisted 1964 Agency to craft a culturally resonant campaign that would spark interest and drive turnout among African American audiences for Heads of State. The goal: build buzz through culturally connected storytelling, high-impact influencer touchpoints, and targeted media moments that grounded the film within the community.

 

We launched a multi-tiered campaign blending PUBLICITY, INFLUENCER ENGAGEMENT, and IN-PERSON EXPERIENCES to build momentum leading up to release. Our team leaned into strategic cultural cues, storytelling, and community-driven activations to position Heads of State as a film worth showing up for.

MEDIA PARTNERSHIP

1964 Agency produced an exclusive “Heads of the Table” dinner — a 30-person gathering honoring cultural leaders across fashion, business, tech, and entertainment. To align with the film’s UK vs. US diplomacy theme, we secured a strategic fashion partnership with British luxury brand Paul Smith, and media partner, Black Menswear, adding narrative depth and visual cohesion to the experience.

The evening reimagined “heads of state” as modern trailblazers. Influencers like Jackie Aina, Sir John, Baron Davis, Etienne Maurice and more amplified the moment through rich, story-driven content — resulting in a high-impact rollout that brought the film’s themes to life across platforms.
